02Our story

The journey, sideways

The question
01 · Es Vedrà, Ibiza

The question

Where they got engaged, a golden-hour “yes” above the sea.

The proposal
02 · On one knee

The proposal

Both far from home once, they found each other and never let go.

Sealed with a yes
03 · The kiss

Sealed with a yes

The plan

Late & joyful

An Iberian celebration runs late and joyful. Come ready to eat, dance and stay a while.

16:00CeremonyWe say “I do” in the quinta’s own chapel. Please arrive a little early.
17:30ReceptionDrinks and bites: the welcome celebration, traditionally called the copo de água in Portugal.
20:00DinnerA long, generous Iberian dinner. Come hungry.
23:00PartyMusic and dancing into the small hours, until around 4am.
05While you’re here

A Portuguese wedding

The bouquet
01

The copo de água

The reception after the ceremony: a long, generous banquet where we’ll come table to table to greet you. It keeps its own slow clock, often into the small hours.

02

The vira

A spinning northern folk dance to accordion and drum. When it starts, say yes: arms up, no experience required.

03

Amêndoas

Sugared almonds, five to a pouch: one each for love, health, happiness, fertility and a long life together.

04

The midnight feast

Just as the dancing flags, a late-night ceia appears: bifanas and caldo verde to carry the party on toward dawn.

06Stay a while

Where to stay

~30 min from Porto (OPO); direct flights from Alicante, Madrid & Barcelona. A car makes everything easier.

On-site

Hotel da Eira

Sleep where you celebrate: the estate’s own rooms among the vines. Booked directly with the venue, and they fill first.

A small rural hotel (Hotel Rural) in Valpedre, with a pool and restaurant.
